Domestic Supervisor

Role Description

Location: Orchard School – Lufton, Yeovil
Hours: 24 hours per week, term time

This vacancy is the kitchen/cleaning/driver role

The School:

The Orchard school is a highly specialist, DfE-registered independent day school for students aged 11–18. The school provides tailored educational and therapeutic support for young people who have suffered trauma or have complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Main Purpose of the Job

As a Domestic Manager, you will lead the domestic team to maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment for students at Orchard school. You will oversee cleaning operations across residences and learning spaces, ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and COSHH policies. You will manage staff rotas, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring the team takes pride in supporting the wider school community.

• Is self-motivated, flexible and efficient individual who takes pride in their work and understands the important part they play within our school
• Is flexible, organised and motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Has good communication skills
• Is able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
