Position: Cook

Location: Preston, Lancashire

Hours: 20 hours per week, term time

Salary Details: £11,337.32 per annum

The school:

Cambian Red Rose School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 30 students aged 5-17 years.

 Cambian Red Rose School provides high-quality, personalised education for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Our success is based on an approach which combines high expectations with sensitivity to the needs of individual students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily preparation and cooking of meals to a high standard.
• Catering for meetings and school events.
• Managing a small kitchen team.
• Menu planning with attention to dietary needs.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Attending training and supporting compliance.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience managing a kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Able to cook fresh, healthy meals from scratch.
• Creative and up-to-date with food trends.
• Team player with strong organisational skills.
